The Cal Forestry Club will be sending 13 undergraduate and graduate forestry students to the SAF National Convention this year in Honolulu, HI. The location of the convention varies from year to year, which gives Cal students an opportunity to travel to different parts of the country. At the convention students learn about forest practices, new technology, and also have an opportunity to talk with students from other schools. During the convention, one evening is spent together with Cal faculty, alumni and students. The Cal Forestry Club pays for the trip by harvesting and selling Christmas trees as well as receiving contributions from the Cal Alumni Foresters, and NorCal SAF.
