We are pleased to announce the 13th International Union of Forestry Research
Organization, Working Party 7.02.01 Conference on "Root and Butt Rot of Forest Trees" that will be held in Italy
from September 4th until September 10th, 2011.
Following the tradition of previous meetings we will travel along the Italian peninsula
starting from the Mediterranean area, up to the Apennines mountains near Firenze, and finally to the Dolomite
region in Trentino. The itinerary will familiarize you with different types of vegetation, environments, history,
cultures and of
course with different plant diseases.
The Official conference will start in Firenze however, for those of you that are interested in visiting
Heterobasidion irregulare disease
centres in the Tyrrhenian pine woods, a pre-conference excursion will be planned
near Rome on September 3rd 2011.
