This article talks about how the Internet has too much information, which is not a new idea. However, it brings out an interesting point about Google providing too much information (TMI) but not enough insight (NEI).
Perhaps with a constant surf of information pounding at us from iPhones, pagers, cell phones, Web sites, blogs and television - all creating a false sense of urgency and demand for speed - the problem is not so much TMI but NEI: Not Enough Insight.
Does it mean that we are demanding "more" information but of a different kind of quality? We do not want just a list of web links with only titles, but we want to synthesis and analysis. Is that the case?
