I graduated from Carleton College in June 2011 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a concentration in Food and Agriculture. I started working in the Environmental Science, Policy and Management Department at UC Berkeley in Katie Suding’s lab in June 2011 and transitioned to the Silver lab in Fall 2011. In the Silver lab, I mostly assist on research related to the Marin Carbon Project. I find this aspect of the lab’s research very pertinent and inspiring because of our current need for applicable solutions to climate change. In the coming years I hope to start a graduate program in ecology and continue to research carbon cycling in agricultural lands. My other interests include restoration, carbon storage, nutrient cycling and sustainable agriculture.
