Who's eligible?

All undergraduate and graduate alumni from the Classes of 2008 to 2012, plus all current undergraduate and graduate students who will graduate in spring 2013 are eligible.

Alumni who graduated from Cal from 2008 to 2012 will receive a $1 to $1 match – doubling their philanthropic donation!

Students who are graduating in 2013 will receive a $2 to $1 match – tripling their philanthropic donation!

What is matched?

Gifts made after July 1, 2012, (up to $1,000 per donor) and before June 30, 2013, to any UC Berkeley school, college, or program. Donors who make any combination of gifts totaling $500 or more will become members of Cal's The Charter Hill Society! Your gift to the College of Natural Resources at this level will also make you a member of the Golden Poppy Circle, in the Educator's Society, at CNR.

If I made a New Alumni Challenge gift last year, am I still eligible?

Yes! Gifts from eligible alums (see above) qualify up to $1,000. Gifts from alumni who will graduated in 2007 no longer qualify for the challenge match, but we hope you will still continue to support your alma mater!
