Metabolic Biology, Nutritional Science & Toxicology
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Nomura in the Program in Metabolic Biology, Nutritional Science & Toxicology (http://nst.berkeley.edu/faculty/nomura.html) at UC Berkeley to study dysregulated metabolic pathways in a variety of pathological conditions including cancer, inflammation, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic diseases. We use chemical approaches to understand the biochemical and pathophysiological role of enzymes in disease using advanced mass-spectrometry based functional proteomic and metabolomic platforms.
Requirements:
The applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or any biologically-related field. Applicants must have an established background in organic synthesis and/ or molecular biology.
