I'm interested in the morphology and systematics of round fungus beetles (Leiodidae), particularly the little-studied austral tribe Agyrtodini. I hope to use DNA and morphology-based phylogenies to examine the evolution of fungus-feeding in leiodids. I also study structural colors in beetles, with special attention to diffraction gratings.
