STEPHEN LEW

I am broadly interested in spider systematics, and somewhat more narrowly interested in the biogeography and faunistics of the California Floristic Province. My dissertation research focuses on the genus Callobius (Amaurobiidae), which at last revision ('72) was hypothesized to be particularly diverse around here, and of which I am current amassing beautiful specimens and associated tubes of viscous goo. I also enjoy providing aid and comfort to the Essig Museum of Entomology and preventing the self destruction of my daughters.
