Information for Prospective graduate students.
Graduate
students in my group can combine field experiments, mathematical
modeling, and statistical analysis, most likely of population dynamics
questions, with a balance chosen to suit the interests of each student.
I am most likely to accept students with strong experience in at least
one of these areas and interest in learning about the others. For
example, if you have an excellent mathematical background and are
interested in applying your skills to ecological population dynamics,
or if you have experience conducting ecological field experiments and
would like to combine experimental work with modeling and statistical
analysis, you could be a good fit for my group. However, I
will consider any student with an outstanding academic background and
research experience in other areas.
Some of the areas in which I am particularly interested in accepting students include:
- Experimental population dynamics.
- Time-series analysis of population dynamics data
- Mathematical modeling of population dynamics
- Theory of life-history evolution
Interested students should e-mail me.
