Oligophlebodes caddisflies are small (body length 6-10mm). This key is best used with cleared dissections of the male genitalia (approximately 1mm). The best features for identification arise from lateral views of the genitalia, specifically:

1. the shape of the external branch of segment X
2. the shape of the lateral lobes of the inferior appendages, especially the plane of the ends of the claspers
