The genus Oligophlebodes is currently comprised of 6 species distributed throughout montane regions in western North America, generally above 4,000 ft. a.s.l.
Recent taxonomic revision has resulted in:
- Synonymizing O. mostbento with O. zelti Nimmo 1971
- The descriptions of additional species of Oligophlebodes (work in progress, not included here)
