Allen has been on sabbatical in Germany, Italy, and Hong Kong since August 2018, and will return in August 2019. During his time abroad he is delightfully busy creating new collaborations and writing exciting new research proposals, as well as orchestrating his lab research and advising his group from afar. There’s a lot of Skype activity these days.
While he is away, we, his research group, are holding down the fort building and field-proving custom instrumentation, and conducting analyses in indoor air chemistry, biogenic/anthropogenic emissions interface in the Amazon, California wildfire emissions, biogenic emissions from sea-spray during algal blooms, petroleum transformation during bio-souring, and causative factors in radiation (tule) fog.
