Congratulations to Peter on successfully passing his qualifying exams today!!! In recognition of his achievement, the lab has given Peter a sunflower crown as well as a piranha plant to add to his ever-expanding carnivorous plant collection. Peter’s dissertation research will focus on inferring the demographic history of sunflower domestication using extant and archaeological sunflower DNA sequence. Well done Peter!
