5th Annual Bay Area Conservation Biology Symposium
University of California at Berkeley Saturday February 1st, 2003
Valley Life Sciences Building 8.00 am - 7.30 pm

The Conservation Biology Symposium was a resounding success! Thanks to all the speakers, presenters, and volunteers for all their hard work. We look forward to seeing everyone next year at the 6th annual conservation biology sysmposium to be held at UC Davis!

The objectives of the meeting are to bring together graduate students and faculty interested in conservation biology, to increase communication and interchange of ideas, and to provide a forum for feedback on graduate research. The symposium will serve as a forum for Bay Area graduate students and faculty to share and discuss recent scientific findings and policy issues related to the field of conservation biology and encourage collaboration among scientists, practitioners, and policy makers. Thematic sessions of presentations will be moderated by faculty and other professionals, with emphasis placed on student talks.
