Freeman Farm Photos


Freeman Farm. A typical farm consisted of 70 acres and included farmhouse, barn, orchard, fields, and woodlands connected to the Center Village by country roads.

Farm and Garden. Farm families planted crops and raised livestock for food, often with a surplus for trade.


Cutover land. Farmers cleared forests for fields and pasture, often with axes that left tall stumps.

Cooper. Some farmers were part-time coopers who made barrels and pails from wood staves.
