NOBLE FIR

Also known as Oregon Larch in the lumber market prior to World War II. It is the largest and most valuable of the true firs. Its range of growth extends from the Northern Washington line to Southern Oregon in the Coast and Cascade ranges. The wood is harder and heavier than that of the other true firs. It is fairly strong and fine-grained. The wood is used for construction, interior finish and boxes. This board is 2" x 36" x 10'6"; 63 board feet, and was cut on the lands of the Bridal Veil Lumbering Co., Oregon.
