Thomas Pulka
Visiting Student
I’m a PhD student and visiting scholar from the Institute of Hydrology and Water Management at BOKU University, Vienna. I have strong interests in modelling mountain hydrology and the assimilation of remote sensing data for practical applications like hydropower and flood forecasting. Since I finished my second Master’s at BOKU, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna in the specialist area of Environment Information Management, I am doing a PhD in snow hydrologic modelling. Currently, I’m implementing a data assimilation routine in a conceptual hydrological model for operational forecasting in snow-dominated high-alpine watersheds.
