Karen Khor

Bio/CV: 

Karen Khor most recently served two years as Co-Chair of the Town of Mamaroneck’s Sustainability Collaborative, an environmental advisory body to the Town in New York. As a member of the Collaborative, she played a leading volunteer role supporting the launch of a voluntary residential drop-off food scrap recycling program serving both Town of Mamaroneck and Village of Larchmont. Early in her career, Karen worked as city planner with Singapore’s national planning authority and as consultant to the United Nations Development Programme–Global Environment Facility developing a biodiversity conservation project proposal in Nepal.

In early 2025, Karen returned to Berkeley with her husband from Larchmont, New York, coming full circle to the community where they first met as students in UC Berkeley. She earned her B.S. in Resource Management from UC Berkeley in 1991 and Master of City Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
