I am an undergraduate researcher pursuing a major in Environmental Science, and am hoping one day to be able to apply it to freshwater ecosystem conservation. I am particularly interested in taking a biological approach in assessing how climate change affects aquatic ecosystems, especially regarding invasive aquatic species. As a child my parents struggled to keep me out of the nearby lakes and streams, so I am thrilled to work in a laboratory where I can apply this passion for aquatic ecology! I am excited to gain experience with certain research methods and procedures and to work hands-on with aquatic macroinvertebrates.
