I am interested in plant-insect and tritrophic interactions in insect ecology.  I am currently investigating changes in plant defenses and their subsequent effects on insect communities--both herbivores and predators/parasitoids--after plant exposure to smoke.  I am collaborating on this project with fire ecologists, plant ecologists, and atmospheric chemists.
