Good Nutrition is Important When You Exercise !

When you’re out walking or jogging, it’s a good idea to bring a snack with you and water to drink. Eat a light snack while you’re taking a break. This can give you energy for the rest of your activity.

Below is a recipe for a healthy, nutritious, and easy to prepare snack!


TRAIL MIX
(Servings: 4-6)

1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
2 cups Chex cereal
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup Cheerios cereal
1 cup chopped dry apricots (or any dried fruits)

Mix all ingredients together and pack in sandwich
bag. You have a light and delicious snack ready to go !

Being physically active 30 minutes each day
can reduce your risk of developing chronic diseases!
