A primarily plant-based diet includes a variety of grain products, fruits and vegetables

Each meal should be made up of plant foods,including:

Fruits and vegetables especially dark green and deep yellow vegetables, and those from the cabbage family

Whole grain like bread, rice, vermicelli noodle, rice noodle, pasta, brown rice, and cereal

Tubers such as potatoes, yam, yucca, taro, turnips, hicama

Legumes such as mung bean, black bean, red bean, green peas and soy products such as tofu and soy milk
