Research Interests

I’m interested in multi-partite ecological assemblage change as a response to habitat fragmentation, invasive species, and land use change. In particular, I’m interested in pollinator networks within mixed-land use settings, including former (and current) agricultural landscapes and urban centers. My focus on invasion ecology is influenced by my training in critical race, empire, and gender studies, and I believe the study of invasion ecology cannot be dissociated from the study of settler colonialism and its ongoing human and non-human ramifications.

Current Projects:

– Interaction networks of Lepidoptera in Hawaii
– Impacts of eco-evolutionary feedbacks on tripartite Lepidoptera community structure, Pt. Reyes, CA (https://surf.berkeley.edu/surf-fellows/detail/3975)
