With a background in aquatic ecology, my research interests focus on species and community-level responses to disturbance in freshwater ecosystems. During my Master’s research at Saint Louis University, I used urban freshwater systems to investigate the relationships between rapid environmental change and thermal tolerance in freshwater fish. As a member of the Ruhi lab, I will focus my studies on wetland restoration ecology. More specifically, I will be evaluating food-web energy flows in restoring and reference wetlands in the San Francisco Bay and Delta, using a combination of research techniques that include stable isotope analysis.
