Peter Moniz
Background
I
graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2013 with a B.S. in Environmental
Sciences. My senior thesis was on the ecological benefits of using
recycled water for streamflow augmentation during the dry season at
Marsh Creek, Brentwood, California. I have been working as a researcher
since January 2012 with the
NSF
Engineering Research Center for Reinventing the Nation's Urban Water
Infrastructure (ReNUWIt) in their Natural Systems Thrust Area on
projects related to Water Reuse for Ecosystems. In addition, starting in
June 2013, I have been working as an intern on the Strawberry Creek
Ecological Stabilization Project, which is a student research and design
group that is funded by The Green Initiative Fund to design and
implement solutions to improve riparian habitat and ecological function
at the confluence of the north and south forks of Strawberry Creek on
the UC Berkeley Campus.
