I am a 4th year undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Molecular Environmental Biology. In the Silver Lab, I have been working with Andrew Jones on the Working Lands Innovation Center project. My involvement in the project has centered around analyzing how bulk carbon and nitrogen content of California grassland soils change as a result of being treated with compost, biochar, and ground rock amendments.
Starting the summer of 2021, I will be adding on to this research by investigating how these amendment applications may impact NDVI and other remote-sensed vegetation indices of the treated grasses over time.
