Shuldman is a biology professor at Las Positas College where she has taught General Botany, General Biology, Humans and the Environment and the University of California California Naturalist Certification class . Shuldman also taught at San Jose State University. At UC Berkeley she taught Bio1B laboratory for 8 semesters, either as a Graduate Student Instructor or a Lecturer (between 2005-2019). She earned the UC Berkeley Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award (2008). Shuldman is trained as a plant ecophysiologist. She was awarded an NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant and an NSF new to ATE Grant.
