Less common on citrus in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil than either Dilobopterus costalimai or Acrogonia terminalis, this large sharpshooter is still commonly found in many citrus groves. It is larger (1 cm long) than these other two sharpshooters. The upper surface of the adult, viewed from above, is brown, with the vertex of the head colored yellow-orange at the margin. Lantana is a favorite host plant. (by AHP from data in Roberto, 1996)
