Horseshoe Lagoon to Hann Crossing
After leaving Horseshoe Lagoon and fording the Laura River, our route turned north and paralleled the Normanby River to Hann Crossing.
First stop of the day, Old Laura Station
This was one of three vast cattle stations that were converted into the national park.
Here we discovered a small disaster
Unknown to us, this rooftop storage bin broke open while we were fording the Laura River.
Good Samaritans
These great guys stopped to pick up all our lost supplies, and soon overtook us at Old Laura.

How to open the roof tent
1. Slide out the the roof ladder horizontally. 2. Use it to lever the front edge of the hinged tent platform to a vertical position. 3. Let the weight shift to the ladder as the platform passes the vertex and returns to the horizontal.
Plant the ladder firmly to support the tent.
