Recognition-
Generally formed like a large,
slightly depressed Morion but with sharply carinate
elytral intervals
7-8.
Distribution/Diversity-
Six species are attributed to this
genus, all restricted to Africa. A key to species was
provided by Straneo
(1949).
Taxonomy/Systematics-
It is very similar to and may prove to be congeneric with Platynodes.
Study
of the types for all included species is needed.
