Ben Goldstein

Ben is a Ph.D. student in ESPM supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. He is working on statistical modeling of citizen science and other survey data to estimate bird population trends in space and time. See Ben’s site.

Sara Stoudt

Sara completed her Ph.D. in Statistics in 2020 on estimation problems in species distribution models and related topics. She is currently a faculty member in Mathematics at Bucknell University. See Sara’s site.

Johnny Hong

Johnny completed his Ph.D. in Statistics in 2020 on statistical analysis of microbiome data and other topics. He currently works at Google.

Sally Paganin

Sally was a post-doctoral researcher working on Bayesian estimation methods for non-parametric distributions in general and applications to non-parametric item-response theory models, all in our NIMBLE software. She received a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Padova. She is currently a post-doc at the Harvard School of Public Health. See Sally’s site

Wei Zhang

Wei was a post-doctoral researcher working on large-scale spatial capture-recapture methods and related topics in our NIMBLE software. He received a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Auckland. He is currently a faculty member in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Glasgow.

Lauren Ponisio

Lauren was a post-doctoral researcher at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science who worked on comparisons of computational statistical methods for ecological models using our NIMBLE software. She completed her PhD here in ESPM and is currently a faculty member in the Department of Biology and the University of Oregon. See Lauren’s site

Dao Nguyen

Dao was a post-doctoral researcher working on MCMC theory with our NIMBLE software. He completed his PhD at the University of Michigan and is currently a faculty member in Mathematics at the University of Mississippi.
