Ali Gill

Ali is a visiting PhD student from the University of Adelaide, Australia and is supported by a Fulbright Scholarship. She is interested in plant and novel crop responses to future climate changes, as well as sustainable agriculture and plant physiology. In the Bowles agroecology lab, she is investigating how soil and management techniques influence dry-farmed tomato plant performance under water stress. Her research in Australia focuses on the drought tolerance and response to water deficit in industrial hemp. Prior to her PhD, Ali received a BS (majors in Soil Science and Botany) with honours in Plant Science at the University of Adelaide.
