Delfina is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management. She is broadly interested in the linkages between crop diversification and belowground agroecosystem functions. Delfina’s Master’s research investigated root functional trait variation, microbial functions, and N cycling in a perennial grain-legume cropping system. She earned her B.A. in Sustainable Development from Washington University in St. Louis and M.S. in Ecosystem Science and Management from the University of Michigan. Delfina also has experience in policy analysis relating to climate change adaptation and mitigation in the agricultural sector.
