John Sanders has managed the dendrochronology lab since 2008. His primary research focuses on dendroecology-related tasks of the Sierra Nevada Adaptive Management Project (SNAMP). He prepares and processes tree core samples from live and dead conifers and hardwoods, manages tree-ring databases, and performs analysis including building chronologies and cross-dating of trees using COFECHA. He also trains and manages undergraduate technicicans and other staff, is responsible for Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and maintains ring-reading equipment and computers.
