Greetings, Joseph Carter here (Class of ‘82 Conservation of Natural Resources, predates C & Resource Studies). I’m hoping to find the name of a Professor of mine circa 1980. His office hours were some of the most inspiring discussions of my UC career. He taught an Ecology Course (don’t remember the exact title) and conducted his research on Maui, Hana side of the slopes of Haleakala (I spent 3 years growing up on Maui, Pukalani before any golf courses…). I’m an avid ocean person and he and I had one discussion on surf, the reefs off of Big Beach & Little Beach and the ecology of Acacia koa plus ants I will never forget. AND I’d like to remember his name … so far my quest has lead me to you Ms. Gillespie. Hopefully the World Wide Web & a Spider expert will help me find my old professors name… Joseph Carter 510 524-4151
Could your professor have been Arnold Shultz?
Or perhaps Vince Resh?
