Head bursting parasitic wasp is awesomely creepy

Wasps that parasitize other insects are surprisingly common in the insect world. A new species, Euderus set aka the crypt-keeper wasp,  stings and lays an egg in the crypt gall wasp a small gall forming wasp that lives on oak trees. The parasite manipulates the behavior of the host and when fully developed, bursts its way out through the head of the poor gall wasp.
