As an E.S.P.M. Ph.D. student I use data science and global model simulations to understand the teleconnections between different hydrological and meteorological variables. Ultimately, I work to understand how different human activities affect our climate, and what that means for our future on this planet. I hold a Master of Information and Data Science degree from the School of Information at UC Berkeley (2022), where I worked with Prof. Girotto and Prof. D’Odorico to forecast future groundwater levels in California using machine learning and open datasets. I also hold two graduate degrees from University College London; a MSc in Engineering for International Development (2018), where I worked with Prof. Luiza Campos to develop climate change resilience evaluation frameworks for urban water systems, specifically in Freetown, Sierra Leone; and a MSci in Physics (2017) for which I investigated the presence and implications of quantum coherence in the light harvesting complexes of purple bacteria under the supervision of Prof. Alexandra Olaya-Castro. I also have industrial experience in different roles as a Data Scientist and Data Engineer within the renewable energy and banking sectors.
