Can you predict the collapse of society?

Research analyzing archaeological records of Neolithic communities in Europe approximately 9,000 years old, has shown that there are key indicators of otherwise stable communities decline and collapse. They particularly focused on major shifts within ecosystems, agriculture, and population growth and resulting declines in the resilience of a population to recover from societal disasters, as harbingers of doom.
