Fun fact: apart from humans, the only other animal that regularly produces identical twin births is the nine-banded armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus). Monozygotic twinning occurs, very rarely, in horses, cows, and pigs but until recently not in Canis familiaris, the dog. This latest adorable F1 outcome has been confirmed by DNA profiling.
