Didn’t ancient humans have horrible teeth? No?

In evolution human’s have adapted to every diet natural selection has thrown at them except the modern one where we eat a kilogram of sugar every day. One, not surprising, consequence of a high carbohydrate diet? Tooth decay. Case in point, ancient Romans had pretty good teeth.
