Project Description: 

This research is examining the interaction of trade policy and environmental outcomes. Within that broader research agenda, assistance is sought with setting up remote sensing (satellite) environmental data for analysis. This research project has gridded data on agricultural inputs and outputs across the globe. This data needs to be subsetted into smaller geographies using maps provided, in order to calculate how local changes in trade affect these outcomes. 

Familiarity coding in R would be an asset.

Undergraduate's Role: 

The SPUR student will mostly work with remote sensing data to set up subnational averages of environmnetal outcomes using R. We will meet weekly or as needed, and sample code is available as would be useful.
