This project involves collaborating with Dr. Spreyer in revising the “ESPM’s History” page on the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management website. The project is supported by the ESPM Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, which is seeking to update the web page with a more comprehensive and reflexive framing of the Department’s history and consideration of the complex legacies of scholars and others who have played roles in the history of the Department and the College.
The undergraduate researcher will work with Dr. Spreyer on the following tasks:
- Reviewing existing materials on the history of the Department and the College;
- Interviewing faculty members, staff, and others;
- Drafting a revised “ESPM History” web page that will be submitted to the ESPM Council for approval and posting on the Department website.
Timeframe: This project will be carried out during the Spring 2023 semester.
Course credit and time-commitment: The undergraduate researcher will enroll in an ESPM 199, Independent Study, course for a minimum of two units, with the expectation that they will contribute at least 90 hours of work on a flexible schedule over the course of the semester.

There are no specific qualifications for this poistion, though some experience reasearching archival materials and/or conducting interviews would be helpful.
