Infrared Images
These Infrared images do not appear to show any termites. It appears that using an infrared camera is not an effective method for detecting termites, with the exception of termite galleries within a mm of a bare wood surface.
Images from lab trial. Within each section is a series of pictures as the board cooled back down to room temperature after the board was heated with a heat gun. The first picture in each section is before the board was heated. Click to see a larger size image.
