Kate Altemus Cullen (she/her) is a PhD candidate in the Energy & Resources Group and Fulbright-Hays Fellow. Her work examines the role of climate change in exacerbating issues of water access and scarcity in the Andes. She’s particularly interested in advancing community-driven and just approaches to reduce vulnerability to glacier retreat and drought. Cullen comes to Berkeley with experience working for the UN Race to Zero, Oxford Net Zero, Union of Concerned Scientists and WRI Brasil. She holds an MSc in Water Science and Policy from the University of Oxford and a BA in Earth Sciences and History from Wesleyan University.
