Kieren Rudge

Ph.D. Student-ESPM

Kieren is a doctoral student in environmental science, policy, and management (ESPM). Their research interests are situated at the intersection of climate justice, critical race theory, and political ecology. Before coming to UC Berkeley, Kieren researched climate policy, planning, and discourse across various geographies including New York City, Connecticut, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Currently, they are focused on analyzing how systems of climate change adaptation reproduce colonial power structures and inequitable development patterns. Kieren has a Master’s in Environmental Science from the Yale School of the Environment and a B.S. in environmental science from Johns Hopkins.
