Margot Jeanne (she/her) is a first-year doctoral student in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management (ESPM). Her research focuses on decolonial feminisms in Latin America and the United States, restorative and transformative justice, and climate justice. She is particularly interested in how community-led climate change adaptation can radically transform colonial and patriarchal power structures through the creation of interdependent networks. Prior to starting her doctoral program, Margot Jeanne worked in the nonprofit sector conducting research on reproductive justice, gender-based violence, and Indigenous food sovereignty. She has also worked for and organized with various social movements, including the Sunrise Movement, a youth-led climate justice movement across the U.S. Margot Jeanne holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brown University and is a former Fulbright scholar.
