Susan Kennedy is a postdoctoral scholar with a focus on metabarcoding methodology. Her favorite part of the research is looking into how many and which arthropod species are detected with the use of molecular methods as the team are always discovering anew how amazingly diverse arthropods are.

Q: What should the public know about EDIAs Project?

A: The great thing about eDNA metabarcoding is that we can get valuable information from so many different sources. This methodology will empower us to act at critical moments to protect fragile ecosystems.
