Lauren Withey

Lauren studies the effects on local people of changing land tenure and land use in Colombia. These changes are occurring in the context of large-scale land conversion and the conservation efforts to minimize and offset the impacts of this conversion. Prior to joining UC Berkeley’s Environmental Science, Policy, and Management program, Lauren worked at the World Resources Institute in Washington, DC. She has a BA in International Relations and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College.
