I am a freshwater ecologist from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) interested in the ecology of phytoplankton, zooplankton and bacterioplankton–and their trophic interactions in shallow waterbodies. My background involves planktonic communities, and testing hypotheses related to their regulatory factors through in situ experimental approaches. My current focus is the development of an applied research line with the main goal of managing and restoring eutrophic water bodies.
During my stay at the Ruhi Lab (2021-22), I assisted with phytoplankton identification and with processing of samples for stable isotope analysis for a project on food-web dynamics of restored wetland in the San Francisco Bay-Delta.
Current position: Associate researcher, National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), Argentina.
