I am an ecologist with a background in behavioral biology, One Health, and aquatic ecology. In my projects and work I have also been interested in the implications and interface between research, society, industry, politics, and conservation. I am currently investigating how climate change is affecting ecosystem integrity. In the Ruhi Lab, I developed a project to understand how changing dynamics of river flows, due to climate-change induced reductions in snowpack and early snowmelt, affect the life history and phenology of certain invertebrates in high-altitude streams. My main goal is to understand the effects of novel environmental regimes on whole food webs.
